These drawings work well because they are all of individual objects. Each drawing is an enclosed
shape and could be cut from a single piece of metal. The bird and the ant both have linear elements
(lines for legs and antennas) which may not make them suitable for all kinds of pieces, i.e. keychains,
but work well over all. Usually linear elements such as the legs will be made of wire unless they are
thick enough to be cut from plate or unless you specify otherwise.
*Whenever possible we will make the jewelry piece the same size as the drawing. If it must
be reduced or enlarged we do so to scale, fitting it as closely as the drawing allows to the size
indicated. Our priority is to maintain the integrity of your child's artwork.
*Designs may be modified slightly to accommodate structure and function (for example,
shortening or thickening lines to prevent them from bending).
*We will contact you if we have any problems or concerns with the artwork or being able to
reproduce your child's design.

The following guidelines will help insure that your drawing is reproducible:
- Use a black felt tip or fine tip Sharpie marker (pencil and crayon do not reproduce well).
- Do not use letters or numbers.
- Keep the drawing to single objects or images rather than multiple objects or scenes.
- Minimize interior lines as only some can be reproduced.
- Do not have your child color their drawing or put their artwork on colored paper.
- Drawings with some width work better than linear drawings (stick figures are difficult to reproduce structurally).
These drawings, although cute, are not well suited for jewelry pieces. The mountain image does not
work because it is a scene. It has multiple elements (sun, birds, mountains) which cannot be cut from
a single piece of metal. The bicycle is not an enclosed drawing meaning that it is made up of lines
rather than shapes. Linear elements, whether cut from plate or made with wire tend to be more flexible
and bend more easily making them less suitable for silver jewelry.
